DESCRIPTION:<p>This year marks the 5th Annual Holiday Hoopla Parade and Wi
 nter Carnival Celebration in New Paltz. &ldquo\;Holiday Hoopla&rdquo\; doe
 s not highlight a particular religious or spiritual celebration\, but toge
 ther\, we are committing to bringing &lsquo\;light&rsquo\; and good cheer\
 , as well as reminding folks they are cared for and not alone. The plannin
 g team has been working on this year&rsquo\;s festivities since January\, 
 and we are<br />extremely excited to share the following expanded event sc

 r children of all ages and families (i.e.\, arts &amp\; crafts\, bouncy ho
 uses\, face painting\, outdoor carnival games\, petting zoo\, etc.).</p>\n

 \;Peace &amp\; Light Parade&rdquo\; &ndash\; The goal of this parade is to
  &ldquo\;bring peace and light&rdquo\; to the community\, particularly tho
 se who may find this a difficult time of year. All holiday traditions are 
 welcome and encouraged to participate (i.e.\, Solstice\, Christmas\, Hannu
 kah\, Kwanzaa\, etc.). We will have a contest for the &ldquo\;Most Festive
 \,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Most Creative\,&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;Children&rsquo\;s F
 avorite&rdquo\; floats ($300 each category). The parade departs from the N
 ew Paltz Middle School @5:00 PM and ends at the Village DPW parking lot.</
