Aram Public Library\, in partnership with Delavan-Darien Sc hool District\, is beyond thrilled to announce a visit featuring the talen ted Mexican-American children&rsquo\;s author/illustrator Raú\;l the Third!
\nJoin us for an evening with Raú\;l the Third\, where you'll learn about his work\, his process\, and more! \;A selection of Raú\;l&rsquo\;s books will be available for purchase from Reads B y The River\, along with the opportunity to have them signed!
\nYout h attending the program will receive a free art kit\, while supplies last.
\nRaú\;l the Third is a three-time winner of the Pura Belpre Award. \;Raú\;l&rsquo\;s written and illustrated works portray his childhood growing up in El Paso\, Texas and Ciudad Juarez\, Mexico.&nb sp\; \;Using colorful and delightful images\, Raú\;l uses his ar twork and text to create stories and environments embracing his Mexican-Am erican heritage. \; In addition to his work as a children&rsquo\;s aut hor/illustrator\, Raú\;l also has had work exhibited in New York\, B oston and Los Angeles.
