DESCRIPTION:<p>Library work in 2026 requires more emotional agility than e
 ver. From navigating challenging patron interactions to managing digital o
 verload and constant roleshifting\, librarians are carrying a heavy cognit
 ive and emotional load. This interactive workshop introduces the concept o
 f mental fitness&mdash\;the daily practices that strengthen focus\, emotio
 nal regulation\, and resilience. Participants will explore the science beh
 ind stress\, learn practical tools for staying grounded during difficult m
 oments\, and build personalized strategies they can use on the job.&nbsp\;
 </p>\n<p>As a result of this program\, attendees will:&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>&mid
 dot\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\; Apply practical\, evidence-based tools&mdash
 \;such as grounding techniques\, cognitive reframing\, and microbreak stra
 tegies&mdash\;to stay centered during challenging patron interactions and

 p\; Identify the core components of mental fitness- such as self-awareness

 ne is a practicing counselor\, national speaker\, educator\, and certified
  positive psychology coach. She holds a master&rsquo\;s degree in counseli
 ng and has taught at the college level for 25 years. She has written four 
 books\, and has been featured in various publications\, and on TV and Inte
 rnet shows. Diane speaks on various mental and emotional health topics inc
 luding Happiness\, Resiliency\, Stress management\, Parenting Positive Agi
 ng\, Anxiety\, and Depression in both teens and adults. Diane also special
 izes in Positive Psychology\, Positive Education and Positive Parenting. &
 nbsp\;<br />Diane has written four books\, her latest is called Worthy. As
  an expert in her field\, Lang has been featured in The Daily Record\, Fam
