 xhibition opening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art\, NYC&nbsp\;on Septemb
 er 24 2023\, BTL is delighted to offer&nbsp\;two individual lectures on ea
 ch featured artist.</p>\n<p>The first lecture will be on <strong>&Eacute\;
 douard Manet</strong> who was a French modernist painter. He was one of th
 e first 19th-century artists to paint modern life\, as well as a pivotal f
 igure in the transition from Realism to Impressionism. Registration reques
 ted.</p>\n<p>Presenter: Janet Mandel is an award-winning art lecturer. She
  taught in New Jersey&rsquo\;s public schools for 32 years\, the last eigh
 teen of which were at Columbia High School in Maplewood\, where she taught
  English\, art history\, and World Languages and Cultures.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>
