 nThe Jazz and Blues concert series is back.  \n\nBoogie with the breeze. O
 ur 1st of 3 free outdoor concerts on the Fountain Terrace at the Southfiel
 d Public Library.\n\nThe band’s music includes a mixture of blues\, funk\,
  soul and rock\, featuring Luther “Badman” Keith (guitar)\, Rick Gould (dr
 ums)\, Mark Croft (keys) and Jerome “Juice” Yancy (bass).\n\nBlues classic
 s\, originals and celebratory songs will highlight the jubilant feeling en
 slaved African-Americans in Texas felt when they learned they were freed. 
 Even though President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation freeing
  slaves in 1863\, it was not until June 19\, 1865 that Union Troops made s
 laves in Texas aware of the fact that they were free. \n\nConcerts will be
  on the Fountain Terrace.  Please bring along your own lawn chair and mask
  will be required.  No admission fees will be charged but donations to the
  Friends of the Southfield Public Library will be accepted.\n\nConcerts ar
 e weather dependent.  Updates will be posted on the library's social media
  and website if concert will be canceled.\n\nGenerously sponsored by the F
