DESCRIPTION:<p>This interactive 90-minute workshop will introduce particip
 ants to practical ways to prepare for and respond to both natural and huma
 n-caused emergencies. Attendees will learn simple steps to increase househ
 old readiness\, including creating a family emergency plan and assembling 
 essential emergency supplies. The session will also explore the principles
  of community resilience and highlight initiatives already underway in Col
 d Spring and the surrounding region. Through discussion and shared perspec
 tives\, participants will have an opportunity to help shape a vision for a
  more connected\, prepared\, and resilient community. Light refreshments w
 ill be served.</p>
