Diana is an artist and a business owner who lives and paints in metro Detroit\, Michigan. Diana creates abstract paintings on canvas\, wood or silk\, that are inspired by natural elements\, the universe\, and her trav els around the world. Deciding to take a break from her corporate career g ave her an opportunity to focus on developing her own artistic style and c ompletely changed her life trajectory.
\nHer creative process is mul tilayered. She searches for juxtaposition\, whether through textures\, col or\, poetry or melody.
\nAs a self taught artist\, her painting proc ess evolved to be mostly intuitive\, and she loves experimenting with text ure and different mediums as well as combining soft and bold colors. She w ants her art to evoke the feeling of joy and possibility in those who inte ract with it.
\nOne of the things that sets her apart are her painti ngs on wood panels. She is specifically attracted to pieces of wood that h ave imperfections or blemishes which others may reject. It is in those impe rfections and blemishes where she sees potential for beauty while others m ay see flaws. This gives her artwork a distinct and personal touch.
