 roading Institute (SRI) about the Pere Marquette 1225. In addition to bein
 g part of the National Register of Historic Structures\, the PM 1225 is re
 nowned for its role in the 2004 Warner Brothers film THE POLAR EXPRESS&tra
 de\;. SRI is dedicated to educating the public about steam-era railroading
  in Michigan &amp\; the Great Lakes Region. This includes the preservation
  of the skills &amp\; technology for maintaining steam locomotives by oper
 ating steam-era equipment &amp\; providing the experience of steam locomot
 ives in actual operation\, including the North Pole Express.</p>\n<p>*Regi
