DESCRIPTION:<p>Ages 5-12 and their caregivers are invited to the Library's
  Jones Meeting Center on Tuesday\, August 13 at 4 p.m. for an author talk 
 from Linda Darwish and Jamila Maden\, a mother-daughter duo published as L
 .J. Madwish. The two teamed up to write a children's book series called <e
 m>Mary and Mike's Magnanimous Adventures</em>. At this event\, Darwish and
  Maden will lead caregiver-child activities that support emerging readers 
 and give participants tools to grow their child's vocabulary\, self-expres
 sion\, and love for reading. Registration is required.</p>
