  straw hat. With Barbara's help\, you can create a historically accurate h
 at that would have been worn around the year 1869 (the year Nashville was 
 founded). These hats are encouraged to be worn at the Sesquicentennial Cel
 ebration in August along with other historically accurate costume pieces. 
 Barbara can also advise those who are interested in wearing a costume at t
 he celebration on how best to approach a sewing design.\n\nSupplies will b
 e provided for participants.
