He will include little-heard anecdotes\, colorful quotes and baseball tre nds starting from before the Big Apple became the city of three teams all the way to the present-day Mets and Yankees. Professor Fischer\, twice nom inated Distinguished Professor of history and political science at City Co llege in Manhattan\, also conducts humorous tours as a certified NYC tour guide. He has created and taught numerous electives on the history of base ball and sports as a former award-winning high school teacher in the Bronx and Manhattan and as a college professor.
