 ft\;\">Wildly original\, melodic\, and passionate\, Carolyn Striho&rsquo\;
 s music has been described as written &ldquo\;from the silver edge of midn
 ight&rdquo\; (All-Music Guide\, USA). Highly regarded as one of the city&r
 squo\;s best singer/songwriters\, Carolyn&rsquo\;s also an award-winning m
 usician\, performer\, and poet. From her early days in Detroit to her curr
 ent evocative music\, Carolyn&rsquo\;s alluring vocal delivery with a rock
  and roll folk eclectic sound is hypnotizing. She was on the Grammy Awards
  First Ballot 2018 for Best Rock Album (&ldquo\;Afterthought&rdquo\;). Car
 olyn has received 11 Detroit Music Awards for Outstanding Albums\, Musicia
 nship\, Outstanding Songwriter and more.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\
 ;\">&nbsp\;</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\;\">Carolyn was also on the G
 rammy Awards First Ballot 2022 for Best Spoken Word Album for her book <em
 >Detroit (Maiden Energy)</em>\, which is a volume one of Carolyn&rsquo\;s 
 lyrics and poetry reaching deep into a Detroit music lifetime. Carolyn&rsq
 uo\;s poetry is included in <em>Respect: The Poetry of Detroit Music</em> 
 from Michigan State Press (M.L. Liebler/Jim Daniels) and in <em>Rock and R
 oll Anthology</em> by Cervena Barva Press.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: lef
 t\;\">&nbsp\;</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\;\">Carolyn&rsquo\;s toured
  and worked with poet and rock icon/singer Patti Smith in Michigan\, throu
 gh Toronto and in London\, England. And she&rsquo\;s performed with Don Wa
 s\, Was (Not Was) with her band Detroit Energy Asylum\, Joan Jett &amp\; T
 he Blackhearts\, The Slits\, The Ramones\, Iggy Pop\, The Isle of Wight\, 
 U.K. and in London\, U.K. with Yoko Ono\, Steve Earle\, Tori Amos\, Sinead
  O'Connor and much more. Carolyn brought her music to Italy\, being invite
 d three times to play there\, and to Osaka\, Japan\, where she did a two-m
 onth residency with her band.</p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\;\">&nbsp\;
 </p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\;\">Carolyn is embarking on a tour with 
 husband/guitarist Scott Dailey and their band\, debuting new songs and a n
 ew album. She has also just released a new song &ldquo\;The Bridge&rdquo\;
  which was written and performed together with Erin Zindle of The Ragbirds
 . &nbsp\;There are several retrospectives coming out soon as she is also f
