 Lecture Series is John Singleton\, a Baton Rouge history researcher\, who 
 has followed many interesting topics over the years. One of those topics i
 s the evolution of car dealerships in the Baton Rouge area. The talk will 
 trace the early roots of the local auto market\, highlight dealership fami
 lies and businesses\, and explain how economic changes\, transportation de
 velopment\, and consumer trends shaped the industry over time. The speaker
  will also discuss how regional growth and shifts in buyer behavior contin
 ue to influence dealerships today. Attendees will gain a deeper understand
 ing of the region&rsquo\;s automotive heritage and the forces that have sh
 aped it into its current form.</p>
