The increasing damage and length of our severe weather even ts is concerning for all of us. How do we begin helping our communities to be sure they&rsquo\;re ready before disaster strikes? One way is with a n ew free kit created for the Maine State Library (MSL) by The Healing Libra ry (THL)! \;

In 2020 the Maine State Library received a grant to support deepening their science programming from NASA. Join us to learn about the grant and about the kit that it created. It features three sect ions centered around disaster preparedness: Before Severe Weather\, During Severe Weather\, and After Severe Weather. Each section is filled with ti ps to stay as physically and emotionally safe as possible\, all while inst illing a love of nature in our children.
